Message of kindness
The wind was extremely freezing. The male penguins had gone to the ocean to find food for their mates who were looking after their clutch. However one penguin had gotten lost and couldn’t find his way back to his mate, it was getting colder and colder. There was ice and thick blankets of snow everywhere, the penguin had no idea where he was or where the other penguins were.
He was lost and starving. Suddenly his feet started to freeze, he was stuck in the middle of nowhere. Soon his whole body froze. He started calling for help, and he got louder and louder.Soon though his voice started to fade. Luckily one of the male penguins was coming back from the ocean with a fish in his mouth and heard him calling. The male penguin stood up still not making a peep to hear which way the call was coming from. He suddenly dropped the fish and wobbled closer to the cry.
Once he wobbled to the cry he didn’t know where to go because the cry wasn’t forward, backwards, right or left. In fact, the cry was coming from underneath. The male penguin started to make a hole in the thick snow with his beak. Then the snow got harder, the snow was too hard to break. Then he noticed it wasn’t snow. It was the male penguin that had frozen solid. The male penguin started to dig into the ice to free the penguin but he made no progress.
He searched for a way to carry the frozen bird. While he walked around he spotted a tipped over wagon filled with snow. He quickly rushed over to the wagon and began emptying the snow with his feet. The other penguins had no idea what he was doing, they all thought he was crazy. Once he emptied the wagon he put his wings through the handle of the wagon and started to pull. When he got back to the frozen penguin he pulled him out of the snow and placed him in the wagon. He pulled him back to the waddle where he started pecking the ice off hoping that the other penguins would help him. One at a time penguins started to help, soon the male penguin was only covered in a thin layer of ice. While the penguins had a rest the thin layer of ice melted and turned into cold water.
The penguin wasn’t breathing for a second, a lot of the penguins thought he was dead. Unaware of his rescue the penguin woke up, and flicked the remaining water off. Then his mate came running over with their chick. The clutch had hatched while the male penguin was frozen out in the snow. The penguins sang a song as the mates were reunited. The penguins huddled together and celebrated the bravery and kindness of the male penguin.

Once upon a time there lived a gentleman who married twice. His second wife was a widow with two grownup daughters, both somewhat past their prime, and this woman would have been the proudest and most overbearing in the world had not her daughter exactly resembled her with their fine airs and insolent tempers. The husband, too, had by his first wife, a child of his own.
One day the father had to go away on an adventure. The father asked the stepsisters what they wanted him to bring back for them. One of them said “beautiful dresses” and the other one said “pearls and jewels”. Ella said ”Father, break off for me the first twig that brushes against your hat on your way home”. So he set off. He brought pearls, jewels and beautiful dresses. On the way home as he was riding through a green thicket, a hazel twig brushed against him and knocked off his hat. Then he broke off the twig and took it with him. Ella thanked him and she went to her mother’s grave and planted the branch on it, and she wept so much that her tears fell upon it and watered it. Over the years it grew and became a beautiful tree.
The king proclaimed a festival that was to last three days. All the beautiful young girls in the land were invited, so that his son could select a bride for himself. When the two stepsisters heard that they too had been invited, they were in high spirits. The stepsisters called Cinderella saying “Comb our hair, brush our shoes and fasten our buckles. We’re going to the festival at the king’s castle” Cinderella obeyed, but she wanted to go to the dance too. She begged her stepmother to go to the dance. “You, Cinderella?" her stepmother said. "You, are all covered with dust and dirt, and you want to go to the festival? You have neither clothes nor shoes, and yet you want to dance!" you are too busy to go to the festival. You have a whole house to clean. Now help your step sisters get ready for the festival. Cinderella fastened her buckles, combed their hair, brushed their shoes and helped them with picking their dresses for the festival then she started cleaning the house.
She went outside to get some fresh air. It was silent. Nothing moved and it was just her outside, every other girl was inside getting ready for the dance. After a few breaths she went back inside to finish cleaning the house. Soon it was time for the stepsisters to go to the dance. Cinderella went up to her room in the attic and she watched her stepsisters leave through the window. She waited for the stepsisters while she lay on her bed. Cinderella fell asleep while she waited.
After a while the stepsisters came back dancing. They bragged about how great their talk was with the prince and that the prince will pick them. Cinderella came down stairs when all the shouting woke her up. She was disappointed that she couldn't go because it looked like her stepsisters had so much fun. The festival lasted for three days. Cinderella begged her stepmother the next night, it was the second to last night til the festival was over and she still couldn’t go. She thought to herself, maybe the last night will be my lucky night. The last night was not the lucky night. Cinderella didn’t go to the festival any night, therefore she didn’t get to meet the prince.
The next day the prince was going to select a bride. Cinderella’s stepmother told Cinderella to go to her bedroom straight away when she saw the prince come to her house, she called down her daughters. The stepsisters bolted downstairs to meet the prince while the stepmother welcomed the prince inside and in the living room he told the mother that he had picked Anastasia. While they were downstairs celebrating Cinderella was still up in the attic confused about what was happening.
Drizella was red and horrified when the prince said he picked Anastasia. Drizella ran straight upstairs. Anastasia’s mother was very proud of her. The prince took Anastasia onto his horse and rode away with her.
When the wedding was held Anastasia’s sister, Drizella didn’t go to the wedding. She was looking for a place for her own. Only her mother came and Cinderella was stuck in the house cleaning. After the wedding, Anastasia and the prince took over the castle and made a new life together.
